Old grief and fresh quarrels, resentments long sleeping and debts unpaid. Bad feelings buried to fester down in the dark. To go rotten.
Place like that, no wonder the dead don't rest easy...

The Vigil tells the story of one night's terrible work for a crew of exorcists in Dark Ages England. It is a historical horror RPG about how communities are haunted by their pasts, and their sins.
CWs for patricide, animal death, murder, general violence, potential body horror, and the unjust exercise of power by corrupt institutions
It is a game for 3-6 players, 1 MC (Master of Ceremonies) and between 2 to 5 exorcists, and should take between 3 and 4 hours to play. You can watch an early version of The Vigil being playedtested online here on Once Upon a Game, a variety show for storygames and IndieRPGs.
